If you’re a fan of Hydro Flask water bottles, you may have come across the Wide Mouth Straw Lid as an accessory to your bottle. This lid provides an easy and convenient way to drink from your Hydro Flask without having to unscrew the cap every time. In this tutorial, we will compare the 40 oz, 32 oz, and 24 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lids to help you choose the right one for your needs.

40 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid:
The 40 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid is designed to fit Hydro Flask’s largest wide mouth bottle, the 40 oz. This lid features a wide straw opening and a durable rubber straw that is long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle. The lid is made of BPA-free plastic and has a flip top to keep the straw clean when not in use. The 40 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid is ideal for those who need to hydrate frequently throughout the day or for those who enjoy using their Hydro Flask for outdoor activities like hiking or camping.

32 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid:
The 32 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid is designed to fit Hydro Flask’s medium-sized wide mouth bottle, the 32 oz. This lid features a slightly smaller straw opening than the 40 oz lid but still provides easy access to your drink. The lid is made of the same BPA-free plastic as the larger lid and also has a flip top for convenience. The 32 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid is a great choice for those who need a more portable option for their Hydro Flask or for those who want a lid that is easier to carry around.

24 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid:
The 24 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid is designed to fit Hydro Flask’s smallest wide mouth bottle, the 24 oz. This lid features the smallest straw opening of the three lids but still provides a convenient way to drink from your bottle. Like the other lids, the 24 oz lid is made of BPA-free plastic and has a flip top for easy access to the straw. The 24 oz Wide Mouth Straw Lid is perfect for those who want a lightweight and compact lid for their Hydro Flask or for those who prefer a smaller bottle size.

In conclusion, the Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Straw Lid is a great accessory for anyone who wants a convenient way to drink from their bottle. When choosing between the 40 oz, 32 oz, and 24 oz lids, consider the size of your bottle and how you plan to use it. Whether you need a large lid for all-day hydration, a medium-sized lid for on-the-go use, or a small lid for lightweight carrying, Hydro Flask has a Wide Mouth Straw Lid to suit your needs. Happy hydrating!

Thank you so much! Been looking everywhere for a good comparison vid since there are no hydroflasks where I live, which means I’m shipping one internationally. 😁

The difference in water volume between 32 ounce and 24 ounce is only about 3/4 of a cup. It’s not going to make a major difference as far as staying hydrated. I regularly do two hour hikes and 24 oz is fine. But that also depends on your fitness and air temperature.
As bottle size goes up, the amount of water increase is generally not much from size to the next size up.
You basically need a bottle size based on ones drinking needs, availability of water, and temperature. If the outdoor activity has a long enough duration that requires water refilling from a creek or river, then bottle size is less of a factor. For backpacking, one can carry extra water in another bottle or water sack.
As far as the car goes, I use a bottle that fits the car cup holder. I have more than one bottle, so I always have extra in the car.
As far as carrying the bottles. For hiking, I use the bottle carrying bag from rockgearmtn.com as it holds 24 oz insulated bottles, and many 32 ounce insulated bottles. It makes it a no brainer to get to the bottle without needing a backpack, or holding the bottle with your hand for the entire activity.
