I Made Custom Music in Mega Man Maker Possible
If you’re a fan of the Mega Man franchise, you’re probably familiar with Mega Man Maker – a fan game that allows players to create their own Mega Man levels. One of the limitations of the game was the inability to add custom music to levels. However, with the help of some coding and a tool called NSF Changer, I was able to make custom music possible in Mega Man Maker.
NSF Changer is a tool that allows users to convert NSF (Nintendo Sound Format) files into MM8BDM (Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch) music files, which can then be imported into Mega Man Maker. With some coding knowledge, I was able to create a script that automates the process of converting and importing custom music into the game.
By using NSF Changer and my custom script, players can now add their own music to their custom Mega Man levels. This opens up a whole new level of creativity and customization for players, allowing them to further personalize their levels and enhance the overall gaming experience.
Custom music in Mega Man Maker adds a new layer of depth and immersion to the game. Whether it’s creating a unique atmosphere for a level or adding a personal touch to a boss battle, custom music allows players to truly make their levels their own.
As a fan of both coding and the Mega Man franchise, I’m thrilled to have been able to contribute to making custom music possible in Mega Man Maker. It’s a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of the fan community, and I look forward to seeing the amazing levels and music creations that players come up with in the future.
If you’re a fan of Mega Man Maker and want to add custom music to your levels, be sure to check out NSF Changer and my custom script. With these tools, you can take your level creations to the next level and create a truly unique gaming experience for yourself and others.
now we just need a make-a class style mod.
We need to wait a little more and then we will finally launch DOOM in MegaMaker xD
It's funny I had the same idea to make a program like this but never got around to it lol, this is awesome! great stuff game fever.
If I had one feature to suggest, it would be a drop down menu to pick which in game NSF to save over, but regardless this is pretty cool 😀
Nicely done
I don't know if I already asked this but, do the custom soundtracks keep in Mega Maker even an update comes out?
Thanks!
Next on the list: Mute Button. (update: already done!)
