I've heard that malicious software appeared on HF for non-Safetensor files. Has anyone checked if LM Studio is secure?

I'm blown away by the fact it's considered conversational. Using codellama… Nobody (sane) answers every question with an essay on context and its not normal to answer a question and include answers to a load more questions that weren't asked. Also, theres no way to stop it rambling on as adding "short" just truncates the answer and it likes to get stuck in loops.Another point… if its so clever why does it try to write new code without simply loading up something it was trained on. Anyone "intelligent" would just paste in an answer copied from wherever they found it.

I think ChatGPT is the deranged demon spawn of that nasty paperclip that wanted to be friends back in xp land. It lies, never admits its mistakes directly and never answers the question without half a tone of gibberish. The only people who should be worried about their jobs are politicians and middle-management …

I just tried the local server of LM Studio…using it, and its examples I had a c# console app setup and talking to it in about 15 minutes. Easiest API to use, maybe ever. So good I came here to mention it! 🙂
