Why One AirPod Dies Faster

Why One AirPod Dies Faster

One common issue that many AirPods users experience is that one AirPod tends to die faster than the other. This can be frustrating and annoying, especially when you’re in the middle of a phone call or listening to your favorite music.

Possible Reasons:

There are several potential reasons why one AirPod may die faster than the other:

  • Battery Degradation: Over time, the batteries in your AirPods may degrade, leading to one AirPod losing its charge faster than the other.
  • Usage Patterns: If you tend to use one AirPod more frequently than the other, it may drain its battery faster.
  • Connection Issues: If one AirPod is struggling to maintain a stable connection with your device, it may drain its battery more quickly as it tries to reconnect.
  • Software Glitches: Occasionally, software glitches or bugs may cause one AirPod to consume more power than usual.

Solutions:

Fortunately, there are some steps you can take to try and address this issue:

  • Keep Your AirPods Charged: Make sure to charge both AirPods fully before using them, as uneven charging can lead to one AirPod draining faster.
  • Rotate Your AirPods: Try alternating which AirPod you use more frequently to ensure both are being used equally.
  • Reset Your AirPods: Resetting your AirPods or updating the firmware can help resolve any software glitches that may be causing the imbalance.
  • Replace the Battery: If your AirPods are older and experiencing battery degradation, it may be time to replace the batteries to restore balance.

By following these tips and troubleshooting steps, you can hopefully resolve the issue of one AirPod dying faster than the other and enjoy a more seamless listening experience.

If you take your AirPod to Apple. They will just tell you that you have no warranty left and try to get you to buy another pair which cost about 200 bucks.

I can’t figure out why one of my AirPods has greeting static and the other one is fine. They are AirPods Pro, but they are the second version. I know it wasn’t from overuse because they were in storage for one full year of the 2 1/2 years that I’ve owned them. Of course they’re not covered by warranty, even though I always why extended warranty. The great when they work with, they’re very frustrating when they don’t. You need suggestions Apple Explained?

My right Airpod charges like 10% or something and dies in 10 minutes. Putting it in the case shows green all the time, gave it a swab and now it's amber.

as i watched on iFixit page, the battery of the Pros are actually Zinc-air battery and stays on the larger housing (or you can call it Button Cell batteries), the one described in the video is actually Airpods 1,2 battery and also it's much larger

And i think the correct way to change how Airpods hear "Hey Siri" commands would be Changing the microphone side (the settings is on the same page that Apple sets to Automatic by default)

Correct me if i'm wrong! I really enjoyed your video!

charging earbuds is why i'd much rather struggle untying my earbuds. A little tangle is less of a problem for me compared to not being able to listen to anything because the batteries died.

The first thing you mentioned can cause uneven battery degradation.

@0:49 i don't think the airpods is "listening" for the Siri request since you have to press and hold the button to activate Siri. this isn't like the "Listen for Siri" setting on the iPhone.
