Straw lids can be a convenient and practical way to enjoy your favorite beverages on the go, but it’s important to choose the right one for your needs. In this tutorial, we will discuss the different types of straw lids available, how to properly clean and maintain them, and tips for selecting the best straw lid for your Hydro Flask.
Types of Straw Lids
There are several types of straw lids available for Hydro Flasks, each offering different features and benefits. Some straw lids have a flip-up straw design, while others have a removable straw that can be adjusted to different lengths. Some straw lids also come with a leak-proof seal to prevent spills, making them great for use during outdoor activities or while traveling.
When choosing a straw lid for your Hydro Flask, consider how you plan to use it. If you will be using your Hydro Flask for hiking, biking, or other activities where spills are a concern, look for a straw lid with a leak-proof seal. If you prefer a straw lid that is easy to sip from on the go, opt for a design with a flip-up straw.
Cleaning and Maintaining Straw Lids
To ensure that your straw lid remains clean and hygienic, it’s important to regularly clean and maintain it. Here are a few tips on how to properly clean your straw lid:
– Disassemble the straw lid: Before cleaning your straw lid, disassemble it into its individual parts. This will make it easier to clean each component thoroughly.
– Use warm, soapy water: Fill a bowl with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Submerge the straw lid parts in the soapy water and let them soak for a few minutes.
– Scrub with a brush: Use a small brush, such as a bottle brush or pipe cleaner, to scrub the inside of the straw and lid. Make sure to clean all the nooks and crannies to remove any buildup or residue.
– Rinse thoroughly: After scrubbing the straw lid parts, rinse them thoroughly under running water to remove any soap or debris.
– Air dry: Once the straw lid parts are clean, let them air dry completely before reassembling them. This will help prevent mold or mildew from forming.
Tips for Selecting the Best Straw Lid
When choosing a straw lid for your Hydro Flask, there are a few factors to consider to ensure you select the best one for your needs. Here are some tips to keep in mind:
– Size compatibility: Make sure the straw lid you choose is compatible with your Hydro Flask size. Most straw lids are designed to fit specific bottle sizes, so be sure to check the product specifications before making a purchase.

Thank you so much! I've tried so hard to clean off the mold and now its so easy!!
May I ask with this spout cleaning issues, would you recommend us getting flex zip lid instead of flex straw lid?
Can you make a video of the coldest bottle lid 2.0 and compare it to this lid? Ive had the coldest bottle, however, mold easily builds up and it's impossible to clean. Now I'm thinking about getting this one because it seems easier to clean since you can take out the red thing.
HydroFlask has a lifetime warranty for all of their products ir or when the tabs flatten and you can't drink from them call them and explain your issue and they will most likely send you a new one
At 4:16, the “<“ makes it seem that the Flex was inferior than the OG cap.
Yup I regret buying that…
I appreciate your channel!
