Vue.js is a popular JavaScript framework that has gained a lot of traction in recent years. As with any technology, there are certain best practices and tips that can help you become more proficient in using Vue.js. In this article, we will discuss some more insights from Vue experts on what you need to know to level up your Vue.js skills.

1. Proper component communication

One of the key features of Vue.js is its component-based architecture. When building Vue applications, it is important to understand how components communicate with each other. Experts recommend using props and events for parent-child communication, and Vuex for more complex communication between components. By mastering these techniques, you can ensure that your components are properly encapsulated and can be easily reused throughout your application.

2. Optimizing render performance

Vue.js has a fast and efficient rendering system, but there are still ways to optimize performance. Experts suggest using the v-for directive with a key attribute to help Vue identify which elements have changed and need to be updated. Additionally, using the v-if directive instead of v-show can help improve performance by only rendering elements when they are needed.

3. Understanding the Vue CLI

The Vue CLI is a powerful tool that can help you kickstart your Vue.js projects with ease. Experts recommend familiarizing yourself with the Vue CLI and its various features, such as scaffolding, building, and testing. By using the Vue CLI effectively, you can streamline your development process and ensure that your projects are well-organized and maintainable.

4. Embracing Vue’s reactivity system

Vue.js’ reactivity system is one of its key features, allowing data changes to automatically update the DOM without the need for manual manipulation. Experts advise leveraging Vue’s reactivity system to its fullest potential by using computed properties, watchers, and methods effectively. By understanding how Vue’s reactivity system works, you can build more efficient and maintainable applications.

5. Keeping up with the Vue community

Lastly, experts emphasize the importance of staying informed about the latest developments in the Vue.js community. By following Vue blogs, attending meetups, and participating in forums, you can stay up to date with best practices, new features, and helpful tips from other Vue developers. This can help you continuously improve your Vue.js skills and stay ahead of the curve in your development projects.

By following these insights from Vue experts, you can become a more proficient Vue.js developer and build more robust and performant applications. Keep learning and experimenting with Vue.js to unlock its full potential and take your skills to the next level!

Interesting, looking through the docs, I can't figure out how to load a LWO object.

I looked into using <primative> but then couldn't work out how to access the internal meshes of the loaded object via Tresjs
