Jacob Zuma’s support for African National Congress wanes in South Africa: WION

Posted by

The Africa National Congress (ANC) party, which has been in power for over 25 years in South Africa, is facing a major setback as it has lost the support of former President Jacob Zuma. Zuma, who was forced to resign from his position in 2018, has been a prominent figure in the ANC and his withdrawal of support from the party has raised concerns about its future.

Zuma, who was once a powerful and influential leader in the ANC, has been critical of the party’s leadership and has accused them of betraying the principles and values of the ANC. His departure from the party has not only damaged its image but has also created a rift within its ranks.

The ANC, which was once a symbol of the anti-apartheid movement and led by iconic figures such as Nelson Mandela, has been plagued by corruption scandals and internal divisions in recent years. The loss of Zuma’s support has exposed the party to further criticism and has raised questions about its ability to govern effectively.

The ANC’s decline in popularity and the loss of support from influential figures like Zuma has opened the door for other political parties in South Africa. The upcoming elections will be crucial in determining the future of the country’s political landscape as the ANC faces tough competition from opposition parties.

The ANC’s leadership will need to address the internal divisions and restore the party’s credibility if it hopes to regain the support of the people. The party’s ability to tackle corruption, improve governance, and address the pressing issues facing the country will be crucial in determining its future.

The loss of support from Jacob Zuma is a significant blow to the ANC and highlights the challenges it faces in regaining the trust of the people. The upcoming elections will be a test for the party as it seeks to navigate through this turbulent period and regain its position as a leading political force in South Africa.

I am a white namibian and I am happy about politics in my country where former presidents are enjoying their retirement in peace. They are not interfering in politics. South Africa was suppose to from the namibian politics.

You got to love how the ANC is getting destroyed from the inside out. Soon they will be no more. Do not be surprised if they flee this country….

I find this hilarious. The ANC pardon this guy and then he does this. Zuma should be in a jail cell for what he did to the South African people during his presidency. He wants to talk about accountability when he has taken no accountability for what he has done. The tone deafness is certainly deafening. This is good though to weaken the corrupt and disgusting ANC.

I was very angry after the announcement by Jacob Zuma but after deeply thinking I'm really don't think Zuma's children love their father dearly how can they allow him to do such a blunder they must take care of him and make sure they protect his integrity the old man is sick must be taken care of instead of sport lighting him like this now he has lost all of his dignity what Duduzile and Duduzane have done it's a sin they won't see kingdom of heaven they're are not Duduzing at all I feel very sorry for old man I wish he can apologise and ANC forgive him

Having recently watched the Arte tv Documentary about Mayor Chris Pappas ( fluent in isiZulu) of uMngeni Municipality on YouTube, there is a better way to take KZN and SA forward if all the different and diverse racial groups in SA work together, like the Springboks have shown us!!!
