The Future of React (I Did A Keynote!)
Recently, I had the opportunity to present a keynote about the future of React at a tech conference. It was an exciting opportunity to share my insights and predictions about the direction in which React is heading.
One of the key points I discussed is the continued evolution of React as a framework. The React team is constantly working on new features and improvements to make the framework more efficient and user-friendly. This includes updates to the core library, as well as the development of new tools and extensions to enhance the overall React ecosystem.
Another important aspect of the future of React is its integration with other technologies. As web development continues to evolve, React is expected to play a key role in interacting with emerging technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. This opens up new opportunities for React developers to explore and innovate in these exciting new areas.
Furthermore, I touched upon the growing importance of performance optimization and scalability in React applications. With the increasing complexity of web applications, it is essential for React to continue improving its performance and efficiency, particularly in handling large-scale and real-time data. This includes advancements in state management, data fetching, and rendering optimizations.
Lastly, I highlighted the community-driven nature of React and the importance of community engagement in shaping its future. With a vibrant and active community of developers, React is expected to continue thriving with new ideas, best practices, and collaborations. This emphasizes the significance of open source contributions and the sharing of knowledge and experiences in driving the evolution of React.
In conclusion, the future of React is bright and full of exciting opportunities. With ongoing advancements in the framework, its integration with emerging technologies, a focus on performance optimization, and active community engagement, React is poised to remain a leading force in web development. I’m thrilled to be a part of this journey and look forward to what lies ahead for React.
Why react component can't have multiple default exports??
What I got from this:
The future of react is asking devs to speak up about the future of react.
I hope the future of React is Svelte cus y’all legacy
4:40 Flutter has the same problem in my opinion. There are dozens of "solutions", none are satisfying at all.
Good job! I liked that you raised the point of view that react at certain moments in its trajectory made us rethink the way we build our applications. And once again we're getting to that point with server components.
I would never in my life think when seeing reactathon logo it was anything regarding the React framework. I would assume, maybe some sporting event.
Why, why, why though?
The guy in the video knows what he is talking about more than you Theo .
sincere question: i am not a js/ts dev. what is the reluctance/pushback for server components? crowd seemed kind of reluctant at the end
Really great talk
Do not listen to him. There is no future of react.
I love the ending . "Server Components are we going to do it?" silence for 30 seconds. some ye. thats what i want to hear. u can tell no one there even has an opinion about them except most people there are thinking hell no
Good job Theo. You sounded very professional!!!! 😉
What does it feel to react on your father's keynote?
I sincerely think that the strain RSC is putting on the libraries devs are just not worth it compared to its benefits.
Yeah, but why? You explained nothing, you just preached.
React propaganda is high with this one 😆
You need to remove your pedo stache😂
Can you made a video of an interview I will have and I don't know how to do it, I'm so bad at code reviews: had 20 minutes to solve 3 code reviews of react components. I was shown a code and had to find bugs and performance issues. Another was a code review challenge asking to figure out any SOLID principles violation.
Nice keynote!
