“PH calls on Chinese envoy to address vessel confrontations in West Philippine Sea” – ANC

Posted by

The Philippines has recently summoned the Chinese ambassador to express their concern over the escalating tensions in the West Philippine Sea. This move comes after a series of confrontations between Chinese vessels and Filipino fishermen in the disputed waters.

According to reports, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) called in Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian to lodge a diplomatic protest over the presence of Chinese maritime militia vessels in the West Philippine Sea. The DFA also expressed their concern over the recent incident involving the harassment of Filipino fishermen by Chinese vessels in the area.

The Philippines has been vocal about its sovereign rights over the West Philippine Sea, and has consistently raised concerns over China’s aggressive actions in the disputed waters. The presence of Chinese vessels, believed to be part of China’s maritime militia, has been a source of tension between the two countries for years.

In a statement, the DFA reiterated the Philippines’ commitment to protect its territorial integrity and maritime entitlements in the West Philippine Sea. The department also emphasized the importance of resolving disputes in accordance with international law, particularly the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

The recent summoning of the Chinese ambassador highlights the Philippines’ determination to address the issue through diplomatic channels. The government’s decision to take a firm stance against China’s actions in the West Philippine Sea sends a clear message that the country will not tolerate any infringement on its territorial rights.

The confrontation between the Philippines and China in the West Philippine Sea is a complex and sensitive issue. It involves not just territorial disputes, but also issues of maritime security, environmental conservation, and the livelihood of Filipino fishermen. The presence of Chinese vessels in the area has raised concerns about the potential for conflict and the need for a peaceful resolution to the issue.

The Philippine government’s decision to summon the Chinese ambassador is a step in the right direction. It demonstrates the country’s commitment to protecting its sovereignty and upholding international law. It also serves as a reminder to China that the Philippines will not back down in asserting its rights in the West Philippine Sea.

Moving forward, it is crucial for both countries to continue engaging in dialogue and diplomatic efforts to address the tensions in the area. The Philippines, as a claimant state in the South China Sea dispute, remains open to peaceful and rules-based approaches to resolving the issue. It is through constructive and respectful engagements that a lasting and peaceful solution can be achieved.

As the situation in the West Philippine Sea continues to unfold, the international community will be watching closely for any developments. The Philippines’ efforts to assert its rights in the area, and its willingness to engage with China through diplomatic channels, will be key in shaping the future of the disputed waters.

let's set the record straight, if ANC News thinks it is wrong, proved it.

In 1945, at the end of World War II, Japan, as a defeated country, be ordered to return the Chinese territory it had occupied in past ages. These Chinese territories include Taiwan and the Dongsha, Nansha and Xisha Islands.

As the victorious country in World War II, in order to recover the sovereignty of these islands, the Nationalist Government specially organized a fleet composed of decommissioned US warships "aided" by the United States, led by Captain Lin Zun, and named the "Forward" fleet. It is composed of four re-named ships, "Taiping", "Zhongye", "Yongxing" and "Zhongjian". Among them, "Taiping" and "Zhongye" went to the Nansha Islands, and "Yongxing" and "Zhongjian" went to the Xisha Islands, which is also the source and basis for the renaming of these four larger islands.

In order to assert China's sovereignty over those Islands in the South China Sea to the world, they not only inspected the Xisha and Nansha Islands, but also erected sovereignty monuments, and left an independent platoon to garrison Yongle Island in Xisha and Taiping Island in Nansha respectively. According to the regional marine meteorological conditions, a team will be stationed in Zhongjian and Zhongye Islands respectively, and they will be stationed from time to time.

Please note: At that time, the surrounding "Philippines" was still a colony of the United States. Vietnam and other neighboring countries, were also colony of European countries such as Britain and France, and Hong Kong and Macao were still "leased" by Britain and Portugal.

So, the navigation of the sovereignty of the Republic of China can only be carried out on mutually recognized maritime borders. From then until the 70s, the governments of the United States and other colonial countries did not dispute this.

This is a perfect example of "MARITIME 喷瓷”. We may hereafter call it " 海上 喷瓷”。 Americans and those who don't know mandarin will never fully understand "喷瓷". It has all the negative connotation of a shameless idiot pretending to have been injured (often self inflicted) by an innocent person with view to gain pity or financially. Americans abetted this "海上 喷瓷". In some countries, abetment carries a heavier punishment and is more evil.

Ancient Chinese lived on the islands of South China Sea. Their relics like temples, coins and china artifacts were found there. These relics are ancient Chinese because at their same time, no other countries reached the same smelting or porcelain making skills. Only China could do that. China owns the 9 dash area of SCS. UN and most countries admit this truth. For example, it was US warships that carried China soldiers cruising SCS in 1946 to declare China sovereignty over there. But later due to navigation improvement in other SCS countries, they wanted to annex SCS so they denied their previous admittance that the islands belonged to China.
