The annual Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) ministerial meeting kicked off with intense controversy as participating countries expressed fury over the inclusion of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The OSCE, which is the world’s largest security-oriented intergovernmental organization, aims to promote peace and security in Europe, and its annual ministerial meeting is a pivotal event for member states to discuss and address pertinent issues.
However, this year’s meeting opened with a fiery debate over Russia’s involvement, with several countries expressing anger and frustration over Lavrov’s participation. The controversy stems from Russia’s ongoing aggression in Ukraine, its annexation of Crimea, and its role in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. Additionally, Russia has been accused of various human rights violations and interference in the internal affairs of other OSCE member states.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba condemned Russia’s participation, stating that it was “unacceptable” for a country that is violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine to have a seat at the table. He also emphasized that the OSCE should not be a platform for Russia to “legitimize” its actions.
Similarly, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis criticized Russia’s involvement, stating that it was “unacceptable and outrageous” for a country that is fueling conflicts and violating international law to be present at the meeting.
The United States also voiced its dismay over Russia’s participation, with Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressing concern about Russia’s “aggressive actions” and its disregard for international norms.
On the other hand, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov defended his country’s participation, stating that Russia is committed to engaging in dialogue and cooperation within the OSCE. He also stated that Russia is open to discussing and resolving differences through diplomatic means.
The heated debate over Russia’s participation underscores the deep divisions and tensions within the OSCE, and it highlights the challenges of finding common ground and consensus among member states. The controversy also raises questions about the effectiveness of the OSCE in addressing security issues and promoting cooperation in the face of such discord.
As the OSCE ministerial meeting progresses, it remains to be seen how the participating countries will navigate the contentious issue of Russia’s involvement and whether they will be able to find common ground on pressing security and cooperation issues. Nevertheless, the fierce debate over Russia’s participation has already set the tone for a tense and consequential gathering.

Hello Ms. Germany, I'd like you to meet Gazza, you've heard of Gazza Yes?!
Never trust Russia, they are acting devils as Hamas terrors
So, this is what the mentally small 'leaders' of the eu and the jewish Neocons that run america's foreign policy have brought europe to. War and division. Complete refusal of peace talks and solving problems anywhere. For what israel wants, the neocons work against nations isreal doesn't like, that they don't go along with the zionists crimes in the middle east and expanding settlements in Palestine and so on.
When you have peopel as Anala Barebacked as the foreign minister of Germany, who knows nothing and never had experience in geo-political situations and negotiations, well, that's because the american neo cons and their servants in europe did that, same with the low IQ of the british weasel appointments such as sunak and boris johnson and Truss. Look at Ursulla van der lying, sbhe's there in the eu for the same reasons. She's not qualified to lead a a 1st grade school clas, but, she's all for whatever israel wants. Attempts, with ukranian and others dying, is what they the jewish israeli loyalists want and
they work against peace in Korea, Taiwan, Syria and it goes on. America's foreign policy owned by israel.
NATO delivering over $50 billion worth of weapons and Training to Kyiv, after installing Victoria Nuland's chosen leaders, appears to be the source of aggression in Eastern Europe.
As Russia defends itself from Nuland's War to apparently acquire Russian Assets by force, we seem to notice that NATO's advance across Eastern Europe is similar to Hitlers March in the 1940's.
Hitler was seeking Russian Oil and the US Investors who Nuland caters to seem to desire the same.
The US needs some resources as the World begins to turn on the US efforts to promote Usury and Exploitation across the Planet.
We shall see who is successful, Russia has been invaded before, they appear to have learned something since Napoleon Raided their Nation in 1812.
Russia can always trusted to keep its word .
