Rust keeps making JavaScript faster

Rust, a systems programming language developed by Mozilla, has been making waves in the world of web development due to its ability to significantly accelerate the performance of JavaScript.

One of the key reasons for this acceleration is Rust’s high level of safety and control, which allows developers to write more efficient and optimized code. This is especially important in the realm of web development, where performance is crucial for delivering a seamless user experience.

Another factor contributing to Rust’s impact on JavaScript performance is its strong focus on concurrency and parallelism. By leveraging Rust’s capabilities in these areas, developers can create web applications that are able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, leading to improved speed and responsiveness.

Rust’s influence on JavaScript performance can also be seen through its integration with popular JavaScript engines, such as the V8 engine used in Google Chrome. By incorporating Rust into these engines, developers can take advantage of its speed and efficiency, leading to faster execution of JavaScript code.

Overall, Rust’s continued advancements in enhancing JavaScript performance are a testament to the language’s potential to revolutionize web development. As the demand for faster, more efficient web applications continues to grow, Rust’s impact on JavaScript performance is likely to become even more significant in the years to come.

Prisma js is an ORM that uses a rust SQL engine, though it heavily affects cold-starts with long compile times. Rust major advantage is having no garbage collection, and relying on the compiler and the dev for safety.
