The Admirers of Hydro Flask

Posted by

Hydro Flask has become more than just a water bottle – it has become a cult-like phenomenon among outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, and everyday individuals who appreciate a high-quality hydration vessel.

The Hydro Flask brand was founded in 2009 in Bend, Oregon, with a mission to produce durable, high-performance bottles that keep liquids cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours. The company quickly gained a loyal following for its innovative design, high-quality materials, and commitment to sustainability.

If you have recently joined the cult of Hydro Flask, or are considering purchasing one of these iconic bottles, here is a detailed tutorial to help you get the most out of your investment:

1. Choose the right size: Hydro Flask offers a variety of sizes ranging from 12 ounces to 64 ounces. Consider how much water or other beverages you typically consume throughout the day to determine the best size for your needs. The 32-ounce and 40-ounce options are popular choices for those who want a larger capacity bottle.

2. Select the right lid: Hydro Flask offers several lid options, including the standard Flex Cap, the wide-mouth Straw Lid, and the Flip Lid. Choose the lid that best fits your lifestyle and preferences. The Straw Lid is great for on-the-go sipping, while the Flex Cap provides a secure seal for outdoor activities.

3. Customize your bottle: Hydro Flask offers a wide range of colors and designs to choose from, allowing you to personalize your bottle to suit your style. You can also add stickers, decals, or custom engravings to make your bottle unique.

4. Properly clean and care for your bottle: To keep your Hydro Flask in top condition, wash it regularly with warm, soapy water and a bottle brush. Do not put your bottle in the dishwasher, as high temperatures can damage the powder coat finish. Use baking soda or vinegar to remove stubborn stains and odors.

5. Use your Hydro Flask for both hot and cold beverages: Hydro Flask bottles are designed to keep liquids hot or cold for extended periods, making them versatile for all types of drinks. Whether you prefer coffee, tea, water, or sports drinks, your Hydro Flask will maintain the desired temperature throughout the day.

6. Stay hydrated: One of the key benefits of owning a Hydro Flask is the encouragement to stay hydrated throughout the day. Keep your bottle with you at all times and make a conscious effort to drink enough water to maintain optimal hydration levels.

7. Take your Hydro Flask on adventures: Hydro Flask bottles are durable and reliable, making them ideal for outdoor adventures, sports activities, and travel. Whether you are hiking, biking, camping, or simply running errands, your Hydro Flask will keep you hydrated and refreshed.

In conclusion, the cult of Hydro Flask is more than just a trendy accessory – it is a symbol of quality, sustainability, and wellness. By following these tips and recommendations, you can make the most of your Hydro Flask bottle and enjoy its benefits for years to come. Stay hydrated, stay stylish, and welcome to the cult of Hydro Flask!

about the insulation, although it lasts X hours it's usually just "lukewarm / cold" for most of it – I definitely see value in being able to maintain peak temperatures for longer

that said… these water bottle cults are crazy. S'well, hydroflask, stanley tumblers, owala, etc.

Based on this video, personal experience and research Klean Kanteen is the best. That's why I just ordered one within 10 minutes of this video. I've been disappointed by most bottles for too long. Never have I owned a bottle I'd rate higher than F tier because 0 bottles I have ever owned have met my bare minimum standards. Like how do people even make bottles with the wrong gender? The bottle should be female and the cap male, otherwise you get a ton of mold and it's a pain to clean the cap. It's not rocket science, people!

Any working class person knows why the time they maintain temp matters. If you work a job where you have long hours that don't come with free coffee, being able to carry coffee from home that will still be warm when you finally get a 15 minute break in 6 hours is everything!

Hydro flask is popular with people I know because of their warranty. I was a soldier and I beat that thing up through training and two deployments. They replaced it for free when it broke. These things are a treasure when you want cold water on a hot day OR hot coffee on a freezing training day. Buy once cry once

You know what is environmentally friendly, reusing a glass bottle for your water, plenty have screw on lids like mineral water or vodka bottles or even corks but these people who buy fashion junk like this probably just emptied a plastic water bottle into it anyway

also you mentioned Klean Kanteen. I really like there product when I started looking into them. But it wasn't about environmentalism. I don't care about screaming about the scare stories and donating money. I care about the product, and if it is what I need it too be. If anything I don't need a company to be an activist. Plastic is bad for human health that is my concern. My concern isn't about some creature that is harmed somewhere. That always happens usually by natural disasters, and not by human actions.

A few things. 1. Buying the trending thing is lame. And not for me. I buy what works best for me and looks appealing to me. 2. you called them "water bottles". I wouldn't call it that. Thermos works or metal bottle. Bottle it self works fine. And since we are talking about something that isn't plastic containing harmful chemicals calling it a metal bottle or container helps to differentiate what your are speaking about. Also most people don't only drink water. People like tea and coffee. Maybe even soda. So calling it a water bottle seems to imply the sort of liquid contained. But clearly it could contain any liquid. Hell you could have cannabis infused soda or something. Lots of options. Anyway. Also yes we have markets with many options. That's true for most things. And yes I like cups/ bottles that are metal. They are really nice. But I want want that fits what I want, and so I don't buy from the popular brand. Plastic sucks (at least for human health) and as such I try to look at other options. Peace Peace

Hello! As a hydroflask owner I must unfortunately agree with everything you've said in the video, haha! Buying a water bottle just to 'look eco' is not the best reason. However, I think it's important to remember that a reusable water bottle trend is much better than just buying water in plastic, and it's actually great that someone produces aesthetic, good looking thermo bottles that young people want to buy and use. When I was at school, everyone was buying cocacola and water in plastic and only 'weirdos' would bring their thermo with tea to shool. We all want to be liked and to belong, and if hydroflask contributed to a positive change and made people want to use reusable bottles instead of buying in plastic – I'd say it's a win for the planet!

I had a hydroflask for years and its so dented that it no longer holds the temp. So I finally caved and got a new one. 2 weeks later, I dropped it and now I'm back at square 1. Never buying another hydroflask again. I'll check out KK in the future!

I buy Hydro Flask because I like them. End of story. They have great colors (sometimes) and they fit my small hands. I would love to get a Yeti, which my husband has, but they're too big for my hands. My Hydro Flask keeps my coffee — which I sip very slowly, over several hours — nice and hot, and the lid is spill-proof (important when you're autistic with poor proprioception skills). The handle is so much more convenient when carrying multiple items or bringing in groceries.

My Hydro Flask tumbler is absolutely perfect for keeping my water ice-cold and the silicone straw allows me to take frequent water breaks while playing Beat Saber without having to remove my VR headset. Oh, and my smoothies stay nice and cold as well.

Hydro Flask does what I need it to do, better than any other brand I've tried. That's why I buy them, not because of any "trend" or hype. And I couldn't care less about it being some sort of status symbol; all I want is for my coffee to stay hot and my cold drinks to stay cold, which they do, in my Hydro Flasks.
