Tutorial on Creating a Realistic 3D Landscape using Vue by e-on software

Posted by

Vue by e-on software is a powerful tool for creating realistic 3D landscapes. In this tutorial, I will walk you through the process of creating your first realistic 3D landscape using Vue. Follow along with the step-by-step instructions to learn how to use Vue to create stunning landscapes that look like they could be real places.

Step 1: Set up your scene
Before you begin creating your landscape, you need to set up your scene in Vue. Open Vue and create a new scene. Choose a landscape template from the preset options or start with a blank canvas.

Step 2: Adjust the terrain
Once your scene is set up, it’s time to start creating your landscape. Select the terrain tool from the menu and start sculpting the terrain to create hills, valleys, and other natural features. Use the smooth tool to blend the terrain and create a more natural look.

Step 3: Add vegetation
Once you have created your terrain, it’s time to add vegetation to your landscape. Select the vegetation tool from the menu and choose from a variety of plant species to populate your landscape. Place trees, bushes, and other plants in strategic locations to create a realistic natural environment.

Step 4: Adjust lighting and atmosphere
Lighting and atmosphere are key components of creating a realistic 3D landscape. Use the lighting and atmosphere tools in Vue to adjust the sun position, sky color, and other settings to create the desired mood and atmosphere for your scene. Experiment with different settings until you achieve the look you want.

Step 5: Add textures and details
To add more realism to your landscape, you can add textures and details to the terrain and vegetation. Use the texture painting tool to add realistic textures to the terrain, such as grass, rocks, and dirt. You can also add details like rocks, boulders, and water features to enhance the realism of your landscape.

Step 6: Render your scene
Once you are happy with your landscape, it’s time to render your scene. Use the render settings in Vue to set the resolution, quality, and other parameters for your final image. Hit the render button to create a high-quality image of your realistic 3D landscape.

Step 7: Enhance your landscape
After rendering your scene, you can further enhance your landscape by adding post-processing effects like depth of field, motion blur, and color adjustments. Experiment with different effects to add an extra level of realism to your landscape.

Creating your first realistic 3D landscape with Vue is a rewarding and creative process. By following these steps and experimenting with different tools and techniques in Vue, you can create stunning landscapes that look like they could be real places. So go ahead and unleash your creativity with Vue by e-on software!

Great turotials but I'm not able to find the heightmap asset in your Patreon, it's difficult to find precise things in there. Are you able to help?

Thanks and keep up the great work for a great peice of (now free) software.

Great introduction for an allround primer – I just discovered Vue and Plant Factory, and I am impressed with the professional level of the software. What a pity, they don't develop it further. It would also have been nice with a plugin for Blender.
I think you said it yourself: your trees are huge for an island of one kilometer, but that is very easy to adjust.

Oh, new Version. I've been working with Vue since around 2008, but Blender almost completely replacing it in my workflow. You were the one who got me into it with your tutorials back then. Thanks for that. Still top atmospheres 👍🏻
